Who we are

The John Obasohan Foundation is dedicated to empowering young people by breaking down the barriers that limit their potential. Through education, mentorship, and community development, we help youth build the foundation for safer, healthier, and more independent futures. Our programs focus on strengthening mental and physical well-being, improving access to essential care, and offering vocational and leadership training that equip young people with the skills needed to thrive economically and socially.

By creating youth development and empowerment centers, we provide safe and inclusive spaces where young people can learn, grow, and discover their purpose. These centers nurture confidence, leadership, and lifelong learning, empowering participants to contribute meaningfully to their communities, families, and careers.

We are deeply connected to the communities we serve, partnering with schools, healthcare providers, and faith-based organizations to ensure that every young person has access to opportunity. Our work spans across California and Nigeria, addressing urgent challenges such as youth unemployment, homelessness, limited access to education, and healthcare disparities. In Nigeria, we collaborate with rural communities to provide clean water, educational support, and health services, while promoting gender equity and protecting youth from harmful practices.

Looking ahead, The John Obasohan Foundation envisions a world where every young person can dream without limits and build a future grounded in dignity, resilience, and opportunity. By expanding our training programs, strengthening partnerships, and investing in innovation, we are shaping the next generation of leaders who will transform their communities and create lasting change.
